Well done to all the presenters at the inaugural NSLHD Northern Lights Musculoskeletal (MSK) Showcase session held in the Kolling Institute on Thursday 18th July 2019, the first in a series highlighting the remarkable advances in research and innovation across the Northern Sydney Local Health District. There was a fantastic turnout for the event with close to 200 people attending in the Kolling auditorium.
There were several informative presentations spanning the important topics of MSK disease burden and biobanking (Prof Lyn March), osteoarthritis (Prof David Hunter, Prof Chris Little and Matthew Williams), back pain (A/Prof Manuela Ferreira), inflammatory arthritis (A/Prof Meilang Xue), and the role of the microbiome in inflammatory disease (Dr Lara Bereza-Malcolm). We also heard from several patient partners who are actively involved in the Osteoarthritis Chronic Care Program (OACCP) and other research studies in the district.
Thank you to the NSLHD Executive and Communications team for facilitating this excellent initiative!
